The College encourages the students to actively take part in the NSS activities so as to serve the society. A ten day annual camp is held in the "NSS" adopted village every year. The students are encouraged to participate in this camp and help the villagers.

Dr. MGR Chokkalingam Arts College has adopted the villages of Irumbedu, Sirumur, and Meyyur under the National Service Scheme (NSS), where volunteers actively engage in community development activities such as health awareness programs, cleanliness drives, educational support, and social welfare initiatives to improve the overall quality of life. The college also plans to extend this initiative in the future by adopting more rural villages and implementing various development programs to promote sustainable growth and community welfare.
